VFX AND VIRTUAL PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

ABOUT
AS PART OF A NEW GENERATION OF VIRTUAL PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS, I BELIEVE VIRTUAL PRODUCTION IS A NEW ART FORM, WHERE THE DEEP TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE IS JUST THE BASE FOR COMPLEX CREATIVE TASKS CREATING A BRIDGE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT FILM DEPARTMENTS TO MAKE A FINALISED PRODUCT ON THE DAY OF SHOOTING. MY FILMMAKING AND CG ARTIST BACKGROUND WITHIN A HEAVILY TECHNICAL VIRTUAL PRODUCTION BACKGROUND LED ME TO UNDERSTAND THAT IN ORDER FOR A SATISFACTORY VIRTUAL PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE TO TAKE PLACE, WHAT COMES FIRST IS ALWAYS THE VISUALS THAT TELL A STORY. THE TECHNICAL TOOLS AND SYSTEMS ARE JUST ANOTHER MEAN TO ACHIEVE THE CREATIVE GOAL.


I started my journey in Virtual Production services for the film
industry working with Lux Machina as volume operator for the
Band of Brothers´s sequel MASTERS OF THE AIR. I then joined DNEG to
help them build their virtual production division.
I have reimagined the role of the VP supervisor as a creative leader with the sole
responsibility of delivering ground-breaking real-time imaginary starting the
work very early during pre-production all the way into the set where content is
finalised and, in many cases, continuing virtual production work in post-production.
My latest credit includes Robert Zemeckis’s next film HERE which will feature
a ground break usage of real-time technologies
